Getting lost and wander around town is one of the best things any traveler can do. I would usually plot several points of interest on my Google Map and start exploring. I usually find the best places for local food or hidden alley to incredible street art when I walk aimlessly around.
After dropping my bag in the hostel, I was ready to venture out for the evening and have a local meal. After a good early dinner and exploring my surroundings, I stumbled across this Xiao Long Bao shop between 2 of the 7 exit roundabouts. The place was call 郭記蒸好味湯包.

It was pretty much right after dinner and I was still full from my last meal, but I couldn't miss out on this amazing find. I order whatever was interesting on the menu and sat down. Another great decision during my trip. The dumplings were glorious! Did I mention it was affordable?
A sizable portion for a single meal. With every bite, juice coated my tongue with flavors I never thought were simple and delicious. What happened later was I basically came back almost every night, despite how full I am for a set of soup dumplings.
Frankly, as I track back my photos I could not find much of my own content except for these 2 photos and 3 videos of the dumplings. Either I was overwhelmed by the amazing taste until I forgot to properly takes food pictures, or I was stuffing my face with as much soup dumpling as I could handle.
Apparently, it is pretty well-known by locals, blogs, and other media as they did a lot of coverage when I did my research back to this place. If you ever got lost in Tainan, you should really check this place out!
